We cater for children aged from 3 to 5 years in special beginners classes in the Lanseria area. These lessons are designed to teach the children the basics of riding, whilst having fun. The children are taught in a controlled environment with an experienced instructor. All of our instructors have Level 1 First Aid certificates. The Lesson consists of 15 minutes of teaching and 15 minutes of supervised ‘free’ time. More information available on request
beginners aged 6 to 65
Private or group lessons available, on weekdays and weekends. Private lessons can be for ½ hour or 1 hour. Group lesson are 45 minutes, with between 2 and 5 riders. We teach English Style riding in all disciplines. More information on request.
Experienced instructors teach all levels of show jumping. It is essential that the rider has the basic skills of horse riding before jumping is started. Flat work and jumping go ‘hand in hand’ and an emphasis is placed on the foundation work before the rider may progress.
We have several Training Jumping Shows at the Yard throughout the year. We have classes that start with a ‘Pole on the ground’ for the beginners and ‘Clear round Jumping’ for the slightly more experienced. We then move on to the competition classes for the more advanced riders.
Some of the students attend local Jumping Shows which is a great learning experience for them, and they have performed well against the competition.
The riders are taught the basics of cross country whilst out in the country side around the stables. Cross country fences are built at the yard for extra practice and trips are undertaken to Northern Farm to practice on their cross country course. The owner has many years of experience in competitive Eventing / Cross Country and passes on her knowledge to the students.
The instructors will teach up to Novice level dressage. We have Proficiency Tests once a year at the yard which incorporates dressage movements and riding theory. This tests the student’s ability to ride correctly and effectively.
