Our cosy self-catering Sunset Cottage is situated in Lanseria, just a 5 minute drive from the airport. It is set in the middle of the farm, and is completely fenced off.
The house consists of one bedroom (either a double bed or 2 single beds can be arranged), one bathroom, an open-plan living area, and a fully equipped kitchen. All linen is provided.
Guests can relax on the patio overlooking the farm watch the comings and goings of life on the farm. Secure parking is available on the premises.
Shops, restaurants and a petrol station are within a short drive's distance. Local attractions are nearby, such as the Cradle of Humankind, The Rhino & Lion Park, Hartbeespoort Dam and many more.
About the Farm
Shepherd’s Fold Stables is a working horse farm which has been in business for 22
years. Shepherd’s Fold started business in 1998 in Honeydew and moved out to
Elandsdrift in 2006, when the countryside was overtaken by the city. The “New”

beautiful trail rides where nature can be experienced at its best. A tranquil setting
gives you the opportunity to listen to the birds and take in the stunning landscapes
we have to offer in this magnificent part of Gauteng.
The owner Belinda Milsom originated from England where she was brought up in the
Cornish countryside surrounded by horses. She moved from England to South Africa
in 1984 where she continued with her love of horses and competed with a focus on
In 1998 the original owners of Shepherd’s Fold, Mr and Mrs Shepherd invited Belinda
to take over the business as they wished to retire from the horse industry, and the
rest speaks for itself!
We currently offer Horse Livery, Riding Lessons, Trail Rides, Pony Camps, and Pony
Our new addition is Sunset Cottage which offers accommodation on the
farm plus riding and adventure packages.
Our days start early on the farm, so you may hear people moving around in the early
morning please do not be alarmed. The farm runs on borehole water that is safe to
drink and very sweet.
Photography – enjoy a 2 hour photo shoot with the horses.
There is an indoor heated pool on the property that is a separate business,
but you are welcome to make use of it at certain times of the day. Please make arrangements with the office.
Breakfasts and pre-prepared
